Why is Locker Room Important to you?

Locker Room Talk is providing a platform to bring often unspoken topics out in the open. There are many conversations we should be having and are starting to have on social media, however as an exhibition LRT is another important step toward bringing it out of the locker room and into our physical world.

Is there a topic or issue that you wished we all talked about more openly?

For me personally, women's health! Only through my own experience of women's health have I begun to really learn about my body. Slowly as I've eased into talking about it more, I'm learning that so many of us are going through the same things yet we don't feel safe or comfortable talking about it. Making these conversations more open gives us all so much power and sense of ease.

What's something you'd like to see in your dream locker room?

Normalising differences, in body, in culture, circumstances, health. Celebrating differences! Lifting each other up.

If you had the chance, what’s something you’d like to tell your 16 year-old self?

Learn about periods! Like really really learn, pay attention to your body. The rhythms, the cycles, the colour, the length, what day are you on and how are you feeling? All throughout the month, not only while you're bleeding!
