Why is Locker Room Talk important to you?
Because it speaks to all our favourite things – Empowerment! Inclusivity! Art! Women! We’re firm believers in the power of women coming together to make cool stuff and do cool stuff and change stuff for the better (we’re a female-founded brand, after all). We also love breaking down taboos, so we love that LRT is providing a space for people to tackle the weird, wonderful and sometimes uncomfortable.
What’s something you’d like to see in your dream locker room?
Besides incense to set the mood (obviously) we’d be into a self-care station with things like face masks, cucumber water and a bowl of weed gummies. The loudspeaker plays a mix of Lauryn Hill, positive affirmations and those solfeggio frequencies that just feel like they clear your whole vibe.
Is there a topic or issue that you wished we all talked about more openly?
Anything to do with sexual health – from consent to condoms and everything in between. There is so much unnecessary stigma around sexuality, sensuality and STI’s. We’d love to spark more conversation and discussion around how sex is a spectrum, to help young women navigate this world. Because at the end of the day, sex should be fun and safe!
