I’m learning to embrace myself. Embracing my mistakes, my flaws, my awkwardness, my vulnerable heart, my dreams, my fears, my doubts and my desires. I’m trying to be kind, compassionate and gentle with myself, especially in the moments that fill me with doubt or shame. Because in doing this, I’m loving myself and embracing where I am at in this messy beautiful journey that we call life.

Vanessa Bong is a textile designer and illustrator who loves to create beautiful things that bring joy and delight. You can find her outside, walking in parks and gardens, or painting whimsical creations.
